我们中国人喜欢问候高龄人时，会这样说：“您老这么大岁数，身体还那么硬朗。”对方会听了很高兴的。可翻译成英语为：You are in such an old age but you are still in good health.欧美老外会咋想呢？首先他们对old很反感，还有一个but就更煞风景。他们会觉得：“I am so old that I should not be in good health".更严重的是”It' abnormal that for people of my age to be still  in good health.这就相当于骂“老不死”。
