作文点评　-- what in your opinion is a succefful individual? (14/487)

这篇不是点评欣赏，是希望大家能帮忙改正我的作文

我想了很久，感觉这里这么多英文高手，而且大家又积极向上，不如把我们的作文拿出来，在这里互相点评，互相学习学习嘛！

其实把我的作文放在这个版页好像不搭，不过这是我负责的版页又有什么办法呢？！要怪就怪管理员　所以希望大家多多支持哇…

 

 

According to the exact meaning in the dictionary, success simply means the achievement of a desired end. Obviously, ‘desired’ is the keyword. The range of ‘desired’ is very wide and it can be variable. Different people have different desired ends. In my opinion, a successful individual must be wealthy, healthy and happy.

 

A successful individual has to be rich. I do not mean that the successful individual must be a millionaire. Real successful ones may only have a few dollars in pocket, but he must be rich in knowledge, potentiality and energy. In other word, the person needs to be talented. A millionaire is rich in money. He can squander his money in whatever ways he wants. However, an ignorant millionaire may lose his wealth in a night. On the opposite, a ragged genius is able to earn money and respect from the public.

 

A successful individual needs to be healthy. There are seldom things which cannot be bought with money. Health is one of them. My standard of successful individual is a person with mental, physical and social health. What is the purpose of owning the whole world, but having a weak body and mind? Will you be happy? Or will you be satisfied? The answer is definitely a “no”. Therefore, good health is very important to a successful individual.

 

Happiness is essential to a successful individual as well. A person who achieve his desired end, but he does not feel any sense of happiness is not considered as a successful individual. A person can achieve his desired end by any means, foul or fair. However, in my opinion, the person cannot consider himself as a successful individual if he is not proud of his method of achievement.

 

Success can be measured in “various indicators’. To many people, success is often measured in monetary terms like wearing expensive clothes, a high income and a luxurious house. To me, it is not so. I can get satisfied results in school which will give me a little surprise sometimes; I have a healthy body to go out with my peers; my care and concerns have been recognized by my dear friends and beloved ones. I am able to enjoy my life. These are my little successes.

根据后面的he (红色),可知，ones→one ,pocket是可数名词，这样就不能让他单独存在，pocket→pockets .

potentiality做潜力解释时，是可数名词，故改为potentialities.

A person (who achieve his desired end, but he does not feel any sense of happiness) is not considered as a successful individual.

achieve→ 和but 后面的(红色括号）应该是做定语修辞a person,所以去掉he

 A person can achieve his desired end by any means, foul or fair. 这个词组不错，学习了

这。。我刚开开头就发现。。这真是典型的“柳”式essay...
虽然还算不上是美文（笑，嘿嘿）
不过我感觉比你平常写的好很多嘞~~

 "be measured in " is not a phrase . u should divide it to two parts.
